Paul Pogba is set to make his return from injury for Manchester United after the international break, say reports
Paul Pogba is set to make his return from injury for Manchester United after the international break and he could be fit enough to face Newcastle United on 18 November, according to reports in the British media.
Metro is reporting that the French midfielder is now finally closing in on a comeback for the Red Devils after being out of action with a hamstring injury since September.
Pogba has not featured for Jose Mourinho’s men since picking up the injury during the Red Devils’ Champions League win over Basel back in September but he has been working hard on his fitness levels behind the scenes at Carrington.
The Red Devils have missed Pogba in recent weeks, with Mourinho’s men having suffered defeats by Huddersfield Town and Chelsea in the Premier League of late.
Now, the same report claims that Manchester United are “confident” that Pogba will be fit enough to play some part of the game against Newcastle United at Old Trafford later this month.
Manchester United suffered a 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday to dent their title hopes and leave them eight points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 games of the new campaign.
The Red Devils finished sixth and won both the Europa League and League Cup last term.
