Usain Bolt Sends Transfer Plea To Manchester United
The fastest man alive and World-record holder Usain Bolt has always been an avid watcher and staunch fan of the Red Devils, something the 32-year-old has admitted to.
After his retirement from the tracks, Bolt opened up on the next stage in his career and stunned us all when he confirmed he had a growing interest to play football.
The Sprinter admitted he would love to play for Manchester United and admitted he was a huge fan of former boss Alex Ferguson.
Currently training with Australian outfit Central Coast Mariners, the Jamaican reminded the media he is still keen on playing for United, calling it his “biggest dream”.
The 32-year-old will be offered an A-League contract if he pushes through, impressively in his training with the Mariners.
Bolt said: “I daydream all the time about just big things…one of my biggest is to play for Manchester United,”Bolt said.
“I think that could be my biggest dream. You can’t get bigger than that.
“Even if it’s just for five games or one game, that would be a dream come true because as I said I’m a massive fan.”
The sprinter also revealed he had options to play in Spain and France but turned them down over a move to Australia.
Bolt remains an inspiration in the World of Athletics, but the retired sprinter hinted that he had been a lifelong football fan and even started as a shot-stopper when he was younger before “I got the further up the field.”
